Buy when utilisation is high and the machine will stay for years. Lease when you want fixed monthly cost and predictable upgrades. Rent when the need is seasonal, temporary or you are not yet sure of the specification.

Estimate hours per month and how certain that number is. High and certain points to buying. High but uncertain points to leasing. Low, seasonal or project-based points to renting.
Purchase price is only the start. Add battery maintenance or replacement, tyres, service intervals, operator training and downtime. A five-year total cost calculation usually changes the answer.
If you are unsure which model suits the site, renting the candidate for a month is cheaper than buying the wrong machine. It also gives your operators real experience before a fleet decision.
