Frequently Asked Questions

Answers on capacity, aisle width, cold store and explosion-proof builds, total cost, container loading, servicing and spare parts.

Do you have stock, or is everything made to order?

Regular models are held in stock and ship within 24 to 72 hours of order confirmation. Non-standard configurations - special fork length, custom mast height, non-standard voltage or colour - are built to order with a lead time of 15 to 25 days.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One unit. We accept single-unit orders and full container loads. For a 20GP or 40HQ container, we will advise the loading quantity for your specific mix of models.

Can you customize the truck for our requirements?

Yes. Fork length, fork spread, mast height, battery type (lead-acid or lithium), voltage, plug type, colour, nameplate and branding can all be specified. Send us the working conditions and we will confirm what is feasible.

What warranty do you provide?

Twelve months on the complete truck, excluding wearing parts. Wearing parts include wheels, seals, brake linings, brushes and filters. Warranty terms are stated in the sales contract.

How are the trucks packed for export?

Export standard plywood cases with rust-preventive treatment on machined surfaces. Each unit is secured inside the case. We can also supply in bare configuration or on steel frames if you prefer.

Can we mix different models in one container?

Yes, mixed loading is normal. Tell us the models and quantities and we will work out the most efficient loading plan and advise how many units fit in a 20GP or 40HQ.

What payment terms do you accept?

T/T 30 percent deposit with the balance against the bill of lading copy. L/C at sight is also accepted. Trade terms available are EXW, FOB, CIF and CFR.

Do you provide certificates for customs clearance?

Yes. We supply the certificate of origin (Form A, Form E or a general CO as applicable), commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and the CE documentation for EU shipments.

How do we buy spare parts after delivery?

Send the model and serial number, or a photo of the part. We hold regular stock of common wearing parts and consumables and ship within 72 hours.

Can we visit the factory before ordering?

Yes. We are in Gaogang District, Taizhou, Jiangsu, about two hours from Shanghai. Send us the dates and we will arrange the visit and a factory tour.

What is the shipping port?

Shanghai or Ningbo, depending on the destination and the shipping line schedule. We will advise the best option with the quotation.

Do you support OEM and ODM?

Yes. We build under our own brand WR Forklift and also produce to customer brand. OEM and ODM orders are a regular part of our business.

How do I work out what capacity I need?

Start from the weight of the unit load including the pallet, then check the load centre. A load 1200 mm long normally has its centre around 600 mm from the fork face, but an unevenly packed or offset load sits further forward and reduces capacity. Read the load chart for the truck at your actual load centre, not the headline rating on the nameplate.

Why can a 1.5 t forklift not lift a 1.5 t load?

Because the rated capacity applies at a stated load centre and lift height. Move the load centre forward, or raise the mast with a load, and capacity falls. A truck rated 1500 kg at 500 mm may only carry around 900 kg at 800 mm. This is not a fault - it is how the stability triangle works, and it is why the load chart matters more than the badge.

How much aisle width does each truck type need?

As a working guide at three-tier racking: three-way and VNA trucks from 1.65 m, reach trucks 2.4 to 3.0 m, stand-on stackers 2.6 to 3.2 m, walkie stackers 2.2 to 2.8 m, and counterbalance forklifts 3.5 to 4.5 m. Add 100 to 200 mm for racking protrusion, floor condition and operator tolerance. Measure the aisle you actually have rather than working from the drawing.

What is the difference between a stacker and a reach truck?

A stacker lifts a pallet vertically, usually to 3 to 6 m, and is compact and lower cost. A reach truck has a mast that travels forward, so it can pick a pallet from the rack face and retract it into the aisle. Reach trucks suit narrow aisles and higher racks; stackers suit lower heights and simpler flows.

Can your trucks work in a cold store at minus 25 degrees?

Yes, with a cold-store build. That means low-temperature hydraulic oil with a stated pour point, low-temperature seals, a heated battery bay, and where needed an anti-mist operator position. Specify to the lowest temperature the truck will see, not the average - failures appear at the minimum, and the dock transition zone is often the coldest point in practice.

Do I need a two-stage or three-stage mast?

Two-stage (duplex) masts suit low racking where height is not the constraint and reach the low 3 m range. Three-stage (triplex) masts reach 6 m and above. If you load containers or work under a low canopy, you need free lift - the forks rise without the mast rising - and that has to be stated on the enquiry.

Will an electric truck cope with a ramp or incline?

Electric trucks handle grades of roughly 5 to 7 percent. Steeper ramps, long distances or heavy loads call for a larger capacity truck or an internal combustion machine. Give us the gradient, the ramp length and the load, and we will confirm rather than guess.

What voltage and plug type do you supply?

We build to the destination market: 230/400 V three-phase and 230 V single-phase for Europe, 110/240 V for North America, and other configurations on request. Tell us the country and we will match the charger and plug type.

Can these trucks be used outdoors?

Electric trucks are not intended for rain or standing water. For outdoor and unpaved work we supply rough-terrain builds with larger tyres, higher ground clearance and, where needed, four-wheel drive. Tell us the surface and we will recommend accordingly.

How many trucks do I need for my throughput?

Work it out from pallets moved per hour and the average travel distance, then add allowance for charging, breaks and peaks. Tell us your pallets per hour, travel distance and shift pattern and we will suggest a number - and say plainly if one truck is enough.

What is the total cost of ownership over five years?

Roughly: purchase price 40 to 50 percent, battery replacement 20 to 25 percent, maintenance 10 to 15 percent, and downtime 15 to 20 percent. Downtime is the line most often left out, and it is the one that makes a cheap truck expensive. Ask for a five-year view rather than comparing purchase prices alone.

Lithium or lead-acid - which is cheaper?

Lithium costs 30 to 50 percent more up front but lasts longer, needs no watering, and supports opportunity charging, so it suits multi-shift operations. Lead-acid remains adequate for single-shift work on a tight budget. Note that lithium still needs heating in deep-freeze applications.

Is it cheaper to buy, lease or rent?

Buying suits long-term use and gives you the asset. Leasing spreads the cost and can cover servicing. Renting suits peaks, seasonal demand and short projects. If you tell us the intended service life and how the cash flow works, we will say which is likely to cost less rather than simply quoting a price.

What does maintenance cost per year?

Budget around 3 to 5 percent of the purchase price per year for routine servicing, more in heavy multi-shift use. Electric trucks have fewer wearing parts than diesel, no engine oil or filters, and lower routine cost.

How much does shipping cost, and how many fit in a container?

A 20GP typically takes one to three units depending on model, and a 40HQ three to six. Masts and forks are configured so the shipment uses the container volume rather than wasting it. Give us the model mix and destination port and we will work out the loading plan.

How often should the truck be serviced?

A practical schedule is a daily pre-use check by the operator, a 250-hour service, a 500-hour service and a 1000-hour service. Cold-store, explosion-proof and multi-shift trucks need shorter intervals. Wearing parts - wheels, seals, hoses, brake components - are checked at every service.

How long does a battery last?

Lead-acid typically gives around 1500 charge cycles; lithium gives 3000 or more. Real life depends on depth of discharge, charging discipline and ambient temperature. Discharging deeply and charging badly will shorten either type.

What happens if something breaks after delivery?

Common wearing parts are held in stock and dispatched within 72 hours. Identify the part by model, serial number or a photograph and we will confirm it. For anything more involved we work through the fault by email, WhatsApp or video call before sending parts.

Do you provide operator training?

We supply the operation and safety documentation with each truck, plus guidance on daily checks and safe load handling. Where a customer needs formal training, we can arrange remote sessions or put you in touch with a local provider.

Can I buy spare parts locally?

Fasteners, hydraulic oil, tyres and many electrical components are standard items available locally. Model-specific parts - controllers, drive units, mast components, seals - we supply directly. We will tell you which is which so you can plan.
