Hydraulic oil thickens, ordinary grease stiffens, steel becomes brittle, and lead-acid batteries lose capacity fast below freezing. A machine specified for ambient conditions will fail early in a freezer.
Look for cold-store hydraulic oil, low-temperature seals and cabling, heated or insulated battery compartments, enclosed motors and IP-rated electricals. Cab or overhead guard options should include heated handles and anti-condensation measures.
Lithium packs tolerate cold better than lead-acid when kept above freezing in a heated charging room. Many sites charge outside the freezer and swap packs rather than charging in the cold.
Aisle width, floor type, shift pattern and load weight are enough for us to recommend a specification.
