Order profiles are small and frequent. Pallets arrive full and leave as mixed cartons. That puts pressure on horizontal transport and on the packing bench, not on high-bay storage.
Electric pallet trucks for container and pallet flow, walking or ride-on stackers for replenishment to pick faces, and a small number of reach trucks where narrow-aisle racking is used. Most e-commerce fleets are predominantly pallet trucks rather than forklifts.
Multi-shift operation means opportunity charging matters more than nominal battery capacity. Siting charge points along the main travel route avoids long detours.
