Production has an inbound flow (raw material and components to the line) and an outbound flow (finished goods to dispatch). These often need different equipment: stackers for inbound pallets, counterbalance trucks for loading outbound vehicles.
Machine shops and press halls have uneven floors, swarf and coolant. Specify tyres and ground clearance accordingly. Pedestrian segregation matters more here than in a warehouse because traffic mixes with production workers.
Three-shift plants need either larger battery capacity or opportunity charging. Specifying for one shift and running three is the most common fleet mistake in manufacturing.
Aisle width, floor type, shift pattern and load weight are enough for us to recommend a specification.
